A Court of Wings and Ruin

In this book, the adventures of Feyre ends in a kind of cliche way but with many surprises.

At the end of the previous book, Feyre goes back to Tamlin willingly but not as his lover but a spy for her court. Tamlin has sided with King Hybern who is plotting to overthrow the other High Lords of Prythian and re-enforce the human slavery law. While staying at the Spring Court, Feyre 'accidentally' kills the niece and nephew of Hybern. She escapes with Lucien back to the Night Court. After Feyre gets back Rhysander requests a meeting with all of the High Lords to warn and form an alliance with them to fight against Hybern.

The ending is quite a cliche. The armies of the High Lords were on the brink of defeat but suddenly more reinforcements from their old friends come. Even then they were nearly losing. The king was slain by the sisters of Feyre but that did not stop the Hybern troops from fighting. The surprise was how they had won but the Cauldron which is what holds the world together was broken in the process of receiving the victory. Rhysander dies from fixing the Cauldron but is brought back alive in the same way as Feyre.

I'm very happy with this end as everyone is living happily ever after. I would probably hate the author if she had killed off Rhysander.
