The Burning Maze- Rick Riordan

NOTE: Slight spoiler

"Remember what it is like to be human."

The burning maze is the third book the Trials of Apollo series. Previously Apollo angered his father, Zeus, which resulted in a banishment to earth as a mortal, without his immortal powers. He must find and restore the oracles before the emperors take over the world. So far he has only found and restored 3 oracles.

In this book Apollo, Meg, a twelve year old, Piper, Jason, Grover have to find some shoes to gain access to where the 3rd oracle, Herophile is being held, somewhere in the burning maze.

I like this book because it was very unique, the characters devolped a lot and found their roots. For example Grover went back to Camp Half-Blood, Meg went to her childhood home, Apollo really matured, became a lot more selfless and lost his arrogant attitude and Piper tried to go back to her Cherokee roots. Jason on the other hand . . .

We don't talk about it.

Overall, this book is amazing and but I would not reccomend this for anyone who gets attached to characters easily.
